White Lace Calcite gets it’s name from the Lacey pattern

of the various black and sometimes red bands within the bright white crystal calcite.

The black bands are Manganese the red bands are Iron.

The bold contrast of black and red in bright white

makes a very rich and beautiful stone

Little Hands

Taking Photo’s of my Sterling Silver Jewelry has always been difficult for me, trying to get a quality photo with true color and nice contrast, I have tried numerous things to get just the right look and feel for each piece I make. I made a couple of rings for one of my young granddaughters, Karlee when she was about 3 years old, so I tried taking pics with her wearing the rings.

I hadn’t noticed until I started working on the pics that the hands were more impressive than the rings I had made for her, I love her sweet little hands, but she loved the rings I had made her.

Celebrity Portraits

These are my latest Portraits, Johnny Depp as himself and Brad Pitt as Achilles from the movie troy. Both are 11″ x 14″ Portraits drawn on Strathmore Bristol Vellum 300 Paper, I use turquoise pencils 4H, 2H, H, HB, 2B, and 4B, several different size stubs and 3 different dry brushes.
